Although maritime business is not a new concept in the
global arena, most of the world’s maritime nations are not
capable of fully benefiting from the knowledge and
techniques of the field. Due to the scarcity of knowledge
about the nature of maritime businesses, niche market
analysis, and competitive advantage analysis, most
developing countries, such as Bangladesh, are lagging behind
in maritime business.
The expansion in maritime business provides Bangladesh with
an opportunity to turn itself from a developing country to a
developed one. The core objective of this session is to
understand the nature and the prospects of maritime business
expansion in Bangladesh. This session also explore existing
maritime business performance and its further development.
